Our Principal

Ms. Grettel A. Dominguez

Ms. Grettel Dominguez was born in Elmhurst, Queens and has 9 years of teaching experience. She attended Cathedral High School in Manhattan, New York in which she went on to earn her B.S. in Psychology from Mercy College in Manhattan, New York and her M.S. in Education with a minor concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language from Concordia University in Nebraska. Ms. Dominguez is honored to be an educator in the Diocese of Brooklyn as she also received a Catholic education at Blessed Sacrament School in Jackson Heights. She began her teaching career at St. Joan of Arc as a teacher assistant and taught preschoolers at a private preschool in Flushing, Queens. Ms. Dominguez joined the St. Bartholomew community six years ago. She has taught 2nd to 5th grade, helped prepare students for the sacrament of First Holy Communion and prepared students for the New York state exams. She has also taught in the after school program Learn it and the summers in Catapult Learning to help reinforce Math and Literacy to our students. During her time at St. Bartholomew Catholic Academy, she has helped organize school events, assist teachers and parents and a part of the school leadership team. Ms. Dominguez became the academy’s Assistant Principal in which she transitioned into the Principal role this school year.
