I hope you all had a relaxing and well-spent Easter break. I hope you all are continuing to remain inside, healthy, and hopeful for better days to come! Christmas Break Homework Assignments

I hope each and every one of you had a nice weekend! This week is the last week of school until we break for Christmas and New Years.

6th Grade Religion: No homework.

6th Grade Social Studies: Work on your wax museum project. Everyone should have their speech complete by January 21st.

6th Grade ELA: Over the Christmas break, you are to complete an ELA State Test packet. The packet is an actual State Test that was given in the past. This is a good practice for you to see what you should expect when you take the exam. Everyone must have chapters 1-4 in “Holes” read by Monday, January 6th.

7th Grade ELA: Over the Christmas break, you are to complete an ELA State Test packet. The packet is an actual State Test that was given in the past. Week of December 2, 2019 to December 6, 2019

I hope you all had a blessed and enjoyable Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

6th Grade Religion: We will be working on Chapter 3 in the textbook this week.

6th Grade Social Studies: We will begin our unit on Ancient Egypt. Homework will be announced daily. 

6th Grade ELA: Students are working on their first writing piece of the year. We will be completing our rough drafts in class. No homework for the week.

7th Grade ELA: We will begin State Test prep this week by working on an old State Test given in the previous years. No homework for the week.

8th Grade: We will begin comparing and contrasting To Kill A Mockingbird the film and novel. Students are to finish the essay over the weekend and have it complete and handed in on December 9th.

 

REPORT CARDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON DECEMBER 6TH IN THE GYM. 6th grade parents, I will give your child the time we will be able to meet this week, so please make sure you check their agenda. Also, please be aware of the clothing the students will be wearing for the Christmas show which will be on December 18th. Students have all the information in their agendas.

ATTENTION 6TH AND 8TH GRADE PARENTS: We will be having our Secret Santa gift exchange on December 20th.

7th Grade ELA: Students are to finish their personal narrative essay along with drawing a cover dedicated to their essay. Directions for the format of the essay are posted on Google Classroom.

8th Grade: Answer the short-response question posted on Google Classroom.

6th Grade Social Studies:  There will be no homework assigned this week because students should be going home every night and studying for their Chapter 3 test which will be on Thursday. On Friday, students are to bring an artifact, picture, article of clothing, or anything they have that represents their cultural background. They will present what they bring in to the class to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

6th Grade ELA: Students are to look out on Google Classroom for any homework assignments. All students should have added themselves to the Google Classroom for ELA by now. I created a Pearson account for ELA, so students should be looking at their emails for the invitation.

6th Grade ELA: Homework Monday through Friday will be consisted of vocabulary as well as worksheets from the unit packet based on The Lightening Thief. Students should get their vocabulary tests signed to be brought back to class on Tuesday.
